g)     Security Personnel

          (These duties are applicable to the installations having security and sentry teams and might include the students assigned to maintain order (school police).)

(1)     Carry out a daily survey (ranging) of their area of jurisdiction for discovering any violations which might lead to fire eruption.

(2)     Upon hearing the fire alarm, they shall:

l             Ensure that there are no persons impeding the flow of the evacuation process.

l             Ensure that all persons were evacuated from the incident location and that all evacuees were accounted for.

l             Assist the educational institute Watchman in preventing the entry or exit of any private cars to and from the educational institute and permitting only the emergency service vehicles to the building.

l             Clear the entrances and the area surrounding the building on fire and stand in a visible place near the building for receiving the emergency service teams and guiding them to the fire location and fire hydrants.
