Occupants of Educational Institute of Employees and
Students
(1) Upon
hearing the fire alarm and the announcement made through
the internal public address and until the verification
of the eruption of fire, all building occupants must
follow the following safety instructions:
l
Switch off all
electrical equipment they are using (computers,
laboratory equipment... etc.).
l
Switch off the
air-conditioning system (central - units).
l
Cut off all fuel
sources (if any).
l
Cut off
electrical current from the place.
l
Close all
windows (in case of gas or chemical leakage, it is
preferred to leave windows opened).
l
The last person
to leave shall close the door after verifying the place
to be empty.
l
Head to the
nearest exit or wait until hearing the next message
confirming or denying the eruption of fire.
(2) If the eruption
of fire was confirmed:
l
Follow the
Floor/Building Controller instructions and immediately
evacuate the place using the predetermined staircase and
avoid pushing and congestion and using the elevators.
l
Head to the
predetermined assembly point.
l
Follow the
instructions of the Assembly Point Officer and abide by
the presence within the limits of the assembly point and
not roaming outside it.
l
Visitors to the
building, if any, are the responsibility of their host
and must be accompanied to the assembly point (the
concerned Safety Officer or the concerned Assembly Point
Officer must be advised of their number).
l
If any of the
building occupants had useful information on the
emergency situation, he must report the same to the
concerned Assembly Point Officer who shall in turn
convey the same to the persons in charge.
l
Follow up the
announcements made through the internal public address
system and follow the instructions mentioned therein
until the incident was over.
l
Building
occupants shall not return to their locations unless
permitted to do so. |
