a) General Supervisor
(1) Daily
inspection of all outlets to ensure that all emergency
staircases, doors and other exits are in a suitable
condition and to clear them from any obstacles, if any.
(2) Prepare and
construct an emergency plan in coordination with a
safety officer.
(3) Plan to
evacuate the educational institute occupants and
distribute them to the proposed assembly points.
(4) Determine the
procedure for contacting the concerned Civil Defense
Department / Civil Defense Center immediately upon
hearing the alarm.
(5) The General
Supervisor shall be in charge of leading the methods of
dealing with all risks occurring in the education
institute immediately upon being advised of the same and
until the arrival of the official services teams.
(6) Coordinate with
the Safety Officer and the Floor/Building Controllers so
as to be advised of the developments on the first
instance.
(7) In case the
accident exacerbated, the General Supervisor shall
determine seeking the assistance of the official
services such as Civil Defense, Police and Ambulance, in
which case he shall instruct the telephone operator to
call such services.
(8) The General
Supervisor shall coordinate with the persons in charge
of the points of assembly for following up the
evacuation process.
(9) The General
Supervisor shall provide the official services elements
with all necessary information and details and shall
provide them with all support and assistance they ask
for.
(10) After the
situation was controlled and the incident came to an end
and after consultation with the Emergency Services
Chief, the General Supervisor shall announce the same
and authorize the return of the evacuees (an
announcement shall be made to this effect).
(11) A report
detailing the incident occurrences and the measures
taken in respect thereof shall be made for submission to
the superior authorities or to the official
investigation authorities (Police - Civil Defense...
etc.) upon request. |
